Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Social Poster ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our Service. By registering or using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Data We Collect

We do not collect payment card details (processed by third-party payment providers), government IDs, or sensitive personal data.
2. Google Login
Google Login is used only for registration, sign-in, account security, and displaying basic profile information. When you use Google Login:
- We receive your Google account identifier (
sub), email address, email verification status, name, and profile picture - We do not store Google access tokens or refresh tokens for ordinary Google Login
- Google Login does not give AI Social Poster access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or YouTube
- You can manage Google account permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions
YouTube connector is separate. If you later choose to connect YouTube for publishing, it uses separate credentials, permissions, and OAuth tokens scoped only to permissions you explicitly approve.
3. Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads)
When you connect a Meta account:
- We receive and store OAuth access tokens scoped to the permissions you approve during the OAuth flow
- We use these tokens solely to publish content you create and approve in AI Social Poster
- We do not read your private messages, contacts, or personal timeline on Meta platforms
- You can disconnect your Meta account from AI Social Poster at any time from your account settings
4. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- To authenticate you and secure your account
- To process and deliver your publication jobs to connected platforms
- To calculate and enforce your subscription plan limits
- To send you transactional emails (login alerts, account notifications)
- To send you product news and updates (if you have not unsubscribed)
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations
5. Email Communications
We send two types of emails:
- Transactional emails — account creation confirmation, password reset, security alerts, subscription changes. These are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled while your account is active.
- Product updates and news — new features, tips, platform announcements, and special offers, only when you explicitly opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any such email, or by contacting us at support@ai-social-poster.com.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers located in Germany (European Union), subject to EU data protection standards. We use industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
- Encrypted storage for OAuth tokens and sensitive credentials
- Hashed passwords (bcrypt) — we never store raw passwords
- Encrypted daily database backups
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Connected platforms — when you publish content, we transmit it to the platform APIs you have connected (Telegram, Meta, YouTube, etc.)
- AI providers — your content prompts and source materials are sent to AI providers (such as OpenAI or DeepSeek) solely for content generation you initiate. These providers have their own privacy policies.
- Infrastructure providers — we use cloud hosting and backup services to operate the platform. These providers act as data processors under appropriate agreements.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose data when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — update or correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data (see our Data Deletion page)
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent — opt out of marketing emails at any time
- Objection — object to certain types of processing

9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion:
- Account data and personal information are deleted within 30 days
- Content data (drafts, inbox items, publish logs) are deleted within 30 days
- OAuth tokens are revoked and deleted immediately upon disconnection or account deletion
- Anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely
- Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days due to backup rotation schedules
10. Cookies
AI Social Poster uses minimal cookies and local storage for:
- Storing your authentication token in your browser's local storage (required for the app to function)
- Remembering your workspace preferences
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@ai-social-poster.com.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email and by posting a notice on the Service at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
